With the help of an HF motion sensor for basicDIM Wireless systems, the lighting can be switched on and off automatically depending on motion detection in combination with the daylight level. smartSWITCH bDW is normally mounted in a master luminaire that you easily add to your bluetooth mesh network (basicDIM Wireless / Casambi) with up to 250 nodes, some of which can be selected to be controlled as wireless slave luminaires.
smartSWITCH bDW has a built-in relay that can turn the master luminaire on and off. The relay is controlled by the HF sensor or as a wireless relay * in the Bluetooth mesh network.
Upon delivery, the profile with HF sensor and Bright-Out function is activated. This means that during motion detection, the Bright-Out function will prevent the relay from switching on the lighting if the ambient light is sufficient, to reduce energy use.
Light level selection to activate Bright-Out, delay time and detection range can be easily set in the 4remoteBT app. smartSWITCH bDW can be installed at a height of up to 5 meters and detects movements through glass and thin materials.
*smartSWITCH bDW can also be used as a wireless relay by changing the device's profile in the app 4Remote BT to "Only Relay" function (then the HF sensor is deactivated). smartSWITCH bDW as a wireless relay can be mounted in a plastic enclosure on the wall or in the suspended ceiling. Just make sure the device is connected to the Bluetooth mesh network. The built-in relay can take resistive loads of <800W and capacitive loads of <400 VA, see data sheet.
